I live in Central Finland and work as a veterinarian. I got my first dog at tender age of 12. That was an English cocker, who unfortunately died all too soon at age 4. Also the next one was an English cocker. With him I became familiar with dog shows as well as blood tracking and obedience. I got my first American Cocker in 1986, she was a buff female Fi Ch & Tr. Ch Candida's Gentle Daze "Pippuri". She was my true soulmate, following me wherever I went. I lost her after Christmas 2001 at 15 years and 9 months.
Since then I've only had American Cockers. My first litter was born 1989. Even though there have been some bumps on my road, I haven't given up. Still working for a healthy and happy American Cocker full of breed type. I love the breed because of its wonderful, loving and merry character, but also because of absolute beauty of a well moving American Cocker with its coat flying about. I breed blacks and buffs, not chocolate even though there is one in the picture with me. That is Rayna, Oliver's daughter. |
